College Republicans State Convention
May 06, 2007
On Friday, April 20th, I was given the unique opportunity to speak at the College Republicans State Convention on behalf of PAI. The experience was enriching and quite informative. My speech focused on what PAI is, what it does, and our mission as a conservative think tank. As the president of my own CR chapter, I understand how important it is for me and other CR members to involve ourselves in organizations that would better my own future and the nation’s future.
Other College Republicans members across this fine state expressed a great deal of interest in PAI. All of the attendees seemed to really enjoy our presentation, and many were very enthusiastic about learning more about the institute and its work. Several College Republicans executive board members approached us about the institute and inquired as to how they might cooperate with PAI more fully toward the accomplishment of mutual objectives. This was a truly rewarding experience that allowed me to interact with other conservatives of my same age who thoroughly enjoy promoting and living the ideals we believe in. Conservatives are in the minority on most college campuses, and in order for that to change, we must continue to promote our institute and its goals at more events like this one.
I will never forget the ovation I received after my presentation. It was truly remarkable, and I was glad to have received the opportunity to speak in front of a group of fellow conservatives who will continue to advance similar ideals. We are looking forward to our next opportunity to promote and represent PAI throughout the Midwest and to continue to expand and amplify our influence among our conservative brethren.
