‘A Whale’ Still Not Skimming
After suffering one of the worst environmental disasters in U.S. history, the Taiwanese ship ‘A Whale’ arrived in the Gulf to attempt to aid in the clean-up effort. Standing over ten stories high and stretching over three and a half football fields in length, the ship is capable of processing 500,000 barrels of oil-filled water each day, as opposed to the 4,000 the converted fishing boats are capable of processing. But the EPA is still standing in the way for this giant to perform the task it was designed to accomplish. WHAT?!
